Project Title: “Owl Always Love Muncie!”

Location: Columbus and Walnut

Statement: We love the concept of Box! Box! and the visual literacy benefits that this program offers Muncie citizens. This is so appealing to us as art educators. Just last week I saw a Box! Box! artist spray painting his design idea at the corner of Tillotson and Gilbert. What a wonderful tutorial to anyone who had the opportunity to watch him work. All of the fished boxes invite dialog and art appreciation. We hope our renderings of flowers and owls inspire many such conversations.

Bio: Margie: I am a retired high school art teacher having taught at Monroe Central, Yorktown, and Muncie Central. I have also done freelance work for over 40 years. Art has been my steady friend since I was six years old! I am a docent for the David Owsley Museum of Art and also belong to the Art Alliance and Muncie Art Students League.

Deb: I have a B. A. from BSU in Art Education. My strengths are design and color applications for commercial and residential spaces. I have enjoyed working with such local civic groups as Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank, Muncie Civic Theatre, Muncie Land Bank, to name a few.
