Tania Said
Executive Director
Tania is the executive director of MuncieArts. Her previous work experience in Muncie includes the Ball State University Foundation, David Owsley Museum of Art, Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, and consulting for nonprofits, as well as work in Washington, DC. She is passionate about the arts, community building, health and wellness, current events, and Muncie, so you can invariably see her at exhibition openings, community festivals, and performances, especially if it is something new and different. Tania believes strongly that we can all make Muncie even better and have fun doing it.

Kim Miller
Board President
Kim is the owner of Tribune Showprint, a historic letterpress shop that has been in business since 1878. She has served on the MuncieArts board since 2022 and is currently the board chair. Kim has a passion for the arts and the Muncie community. These passions have led her to work with organizations like MuncieArts, ecoREHAB, various neighborhood organizations, and the Human Rights Commission. As the owner of Tribune Showprint she creates advertising posters for events across the nation and does screen printing for local businesses and organizations. In her free time, Kim enjoys attending the many activities and events that Muncie has to offer, reading, spending time with her friends, and cuddling with her dogs.
Michelle Kinsey
Board Vice President
Michelle is the Communications Manager in the Office of Community Engagement at Ball State University. A longtime advocate for the arts in Muncie, Michelle has spent decades connecting people through storytelling, collaboration, and a shared love of creativity. She is also one of the hosts of “Pop of Culture,” a weekly arts and culture program/podcast on Indiana Public Radio (NPR). When she’s not working or enjoying all things arts and culture in the area, she loves to rock out with the local band The Fierce. She is the proud Mama of Duncan, a film production student at Ball State.
C.S. Hendershot
Board Secretary
C.S. is the Director of Fundraising and Development at Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. C.S. is an active supporter and advocate of the arts in Muncie, serving on the board of MuncieArts since 2021. C.S. brings a strong passion for building sustainable programs that support local artists and cultural initiatives, with the belief that the arts are essential to Muncie’s growth. In their free time, C.S. skates with Cornfed Roller Derby under the name Lavender Menace.
Jennifer Johnson
Board Treasurer
Jennifer is operations director at Coda Media Inc (Coda Story) a 501(c) 3 nonprofit newsroom with a global focus. Prior to joining Coda, Jennifer worked for The Muncie Symphony Orchestra for 19 years. Her love for the arts is rooted in her upbringing - with an artistic Mom who insisted on spending entire days in art museums and a father who was an appreciator of classical music. She is engaged in the Muncie community through Noon Rotary, Altrusa International - Muncie chapter, Altrusa Foundation and has served on the MuncieArts board since 2021. Jennifer is proud to call Muncie home along with husband, Jamie, and their two children, Sophia and Sam.
Nathan Bogert
Board Member
Nathan is Associate Professor of Saxophone at Ball State University. As a standout saxophonist of his generation, Dr. Bogert is in demand as a performer and clinician. His performances have taken him to venues on five continents as both a soloist and member of various ensembles. Dr. Bogert’s playing is described by Fanfare Magazine as “of the highest order” and Fanfare also praised him as “a master of his instrument.” Dr. Bogert’s musical endeavors as both a concert and jazz saxophonist have distinguished him as one of the more unique saxophonists of the younger generation.
Kevin Klinger
Board Member
Kevin, Associate Professor of Architecture in the R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning, runs the iMADE initiative at Ball State University. Professor Klinger was the Founding Director of the internationally recognized Institute for Digital Fabrication at Ball State University through the Center for Media Design and College of Architecture and Planning. Kevin is author and co-editor of Manufacturing Material Effects: Rethinking Design and Making in Architecture through Taylor and Francis/Routledge publishers. His writing was also featured as one of the key texts from early pioneers in the recently published anthology Critical Concepts in Architecture series entitled: Digital Architecture. Kevin has served as a Maker in Residence at Madjax Maker Force in Muncie, and currently serves on the Preservation Board for the City of Muncie.
Lexi Mussleman
Board Member
Lexi is a multidisciplinary artist with a Master of Arts in Social Practice Arts from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Ball State University. Since 2016, Lexi has been actively involved with MuncieArts first as a student and now as a member of the MuncieArts board, contributing to public projects and community collaborations. In her current role as Communications Manager at the College of Fine Arts at Ball State University, she oversees marketing, audience engagement, and box office operations while mentoring students. She believes that art has the power to change lives, and she works to create meaningful connections through her artistic and professional endeavors. In her free time, Lexi enjoys reading, roller skating, and spending time with her four cats.
Zach Poor
Board Member
Zach is the Senior Designer at Intersection, a full-service marketing + branding agency that exists to help good people tell great stories. He has served on the MuncieArts board since 2020. In addition to his professional role where he oversees much of the agency’s creative work, Zach is an artist who enjoys complementing his digital day job with analog methods of creative expression such as printmaking and film photography. A strong advocate for the Muncie community, you can find him riding his bike on the robust network of trails, attending events DWNTWN, or dominating bar trivia with his friends.
Carl Schafer
Board Member
Carl has been the co-owner of Gordy Fine Art and Framing Company since 2015. Carl’s skill as a craftsman includes restoring antique picture frames and designing replica frames. He is an art historian whose 25+ year career in the museum profession focused on designing exhibitions and caring for works of art in virtually all materials representing the world’s major civilizations across time. He also works as a community leader as the founding president of the Muncie Arts & Culture Council, promoting the activities of arts organizations in Muncie and advocating for the arts as an economic driver and a major contributor to quality of life. Carl currently chairs the Muncie Mayor’s Arts Awards Steering Committee and serves on the board of MuncieArts.
