FaceMePorFavor Murals at Madjax (514 E. Jackson St.)

In spring, 2019, PlySpace welcomed the FaceMePorFavor mural project to Muncie. Artists Matt Litwin and Victoria Eidelsztein, from Minnesota and Argentina respectively, completed many temporary neighborhood murals as part of their PlySpace residency project.

FaceMePorFavor’s goal was to create a visual voice for people to share their hopes and dreams, fear and despair. The artists pasted painted poster portraits and quotes throughout the city to celebrate and connect with its people—young, old, immigrants, and the often overlooked communities of Muncie.

Residents of Muncie were invited to submit their photo and profile to be included in the pool of images and text that the artists used in the temporary murals. Though not all portraits and profiles were used, we thank the community for their generous submissions, thoughtful comments, and engaging portraits!
