The Mayor’s Arts Awards program bestows the most prestigious honor conferred by the city on individual artists, teachers, nonprofit organizations and/or patrons of the arts. These awards recognize the contributions to the cultural community by these individuals and organizations. The Muncie Arts and Culture Council is proud to implement this program for the City of Muncie. By supporting this important program, you are helping elevate and recognize those who make Muncie and surrounding areas a better place to live, work, and play.
2023 marks the fifth biennial Mayor's Arts Awards for the city of Muncie. This year we will celebrate the contributions of our creative community with an awards ceremony and community reception. Details forthcoming. This event is free and open to the public, bringing the community together in recognition of our city's amazing creative assets, practitioners, and patrons. In addition, nominees and sponsors for the arts are thanked for their contribution with a Nominee Reception preceding the awards ceremony. Sponsorships make this project possible. Sponsors ensure that Muncie has a thriving and accessible arts scene with free events and programming throughout the year.
