COME CLOWN WITH US!
WORKSHOP WITH PLYSPACE RESIDENT CARMEN NIKAE
Theatrical Clown Workshop for Adults (ages 18+)
Thursday, October 26th from 5:30-8:30pm
Register for FREE (spots are limited!)
We are all clowns.
In this workshop led by Carmen Nikae, the PlySpace Resident Clown, we will explore theatrical clowning. Together, we will talk about what clown is and isn’t. We will discover our own clowns by playing le jeu (games) to find pleasure and by doing exercises to break our patterns and allow our inner clown to emerge.
The first half of the workshop will be spent exploring theatrical clowning through games and exercises. The second half will be spent “in-nose” (with clown noses on) building complicité with the self, each other, and the public, and uncovering the clown within along the way.
Each attendee will receive their very own clown nose to take home with them!
This workshop is FREE and is perfect for anyone interested in the practice of clowning, letting go of barriers, and exploring resilience.
No theatrical experience is necessary! All are welcome. RSVP Registration is required!
