Muncie Pool Project

During his time at PlySpace, Anthony partnered with the Tuhey Pool and Catalina Swim Club to conduct poolside interviews, listen to an underwater microphone, and make Cyanotype sun prints with patrons in order to investigate what makes the site of the pool a unique summer destination. Anthony explored questions such as: What is it about the domestication of water that opens us up to play and display in ways that are out of sync with the norms of daily activity in public space? How does that freedom encourage or discourage interaction with strangers? How do pools help us connect to each other and to community? How do they keep us separate?
