Project Title: Love Earth

Location: Tillotson & Godman

Project Statement: Love Earth is a gentle reminder of our place in the universe and stewardship of our planet. I wanted to depict Earth on the back side of the box with a haze of pollution and space debris. I also wanted to show what it could be again with a little love. We all share a responsibility and can help whether that is big or small. The small things can be as little as not littering, recycling, and being supportive of the big initiatives that are working to protect and repair our Earth

Artist Bio: As a child I was mentored and guided to explore my creativity by my grandmother. She taught me how to craft, sew, bead, cook and many other things. She taught me how to think outside the box and imagine things for what they could be. As a mother, I try to pass that creativity to my children and help them to create. When my girls and I noticed the boxes appearing around Muncie we were inspired and wanted to be involved in making something beautiful for our community. Showing that despite distance and a generation the seeds of creativity from my Grandma still grow.
