Artist: Pam Stults
Project Title: Run to Meet the Moon
Location: Tillotson and Euclid
Statement: Run to Meet the Moon is a celebration of the moon, our steadfast and loyal companion. I always look up at the moon and revel in its brilliance. I am reminded that we are all under the same sky, looking at the same moon. It will never leave. It will always be there taking. our breath away as we look up at its glowing splendor, comforting and predictable in these unpredictable times. I hope my project will inspire people to take time from their busy lives to glance upwards and be in awe of our nearest neighbor. Run to Meet the Moon before it slips away!
Bio: I am a 2nd grade teacher and paint when I get the chance. Many of my paintings are inspired by the land and sky. I have been watching the moon and its phases for many years and every time I look up I am in awe of its beauty. Sometimes the waxing crescent will suddenly appear at dusk and I know then that the next several nights we will be treated to the moon appearing larger each night until the brilliant full moon gazes down at us. I hope my project will inspire others to look up to meet the moon and to know that the moon will always be there to comfort and give us hope, if we let it.
